For as many jobs as there are out there, there are just as many ways to find them. Many years ago jobs were advertised in shop windows or maybe in the local newspaper but with the introduction of the Internet, jobs can be advertised almost anywhere and it can sometimes be overwhelming to try and find what you are looking for. So here is a short list of some great resources for finding work but don’t be afraid to think outside of the box.

Sometimes jobs aren’t always easy to find and sometimes they are impossible. This is often because of the Hidden Job Market. The Hidden Job Market includes all the jobs available that are not advertised and there are more than you think. Experts suggest that half of all available jobs in Australia are not advertised so that it is important to search for jobs outside of the traditional advertising channels.

How to find ‘Hidden’ Jobs?

Hidden jobs can be great opportunities because they may have fewer candidates applying, therefore less competition. However, they can be much harder to find. A great way to find ‘hidden’ jobs is networking.
