Applications for the Migrant Communities Employment Fund have been extended to the 9 August 2013.
The closing date for the first round of applications for the new Migrant Communities Employment Fund has been extended. The Migrant Communities Employment Fund will support innovative projects that help unemployed and underemployed migrant and refugee job seekers prepare for and gain sustainable employment and progress their careers.
The Australian Government has committed $6 million to the fund over two years, with each project to be funded up to $200,000.

The Australian Government has announced a $6.6 million fund to help tackle higher levels of unemployment amongst immigrant and refugee workers in Australia.
The Migrant Communities Employment Fund (MCEF) will be geared towards supporting the creation of innovative and sustainable employment opportunities for underemployed first and second generation immigrant and refugee job seekers and will be available over two years.

The first ever general meeting for the Melbourne Employment Forum is coming up soon and we would love to see you there.
The meeting will discuss the new Federal Government initiative- Migrant Communities Employment Fund and will also discuss the Melbourne Employment Forum’s ongoing commitment to reducing unemployment and underemployment amongst migrant communities in Melbourne.
